PROGRAMME

Permanent Way (Track) / Civil Engineering Design, Construction Programme and Logistics, Operation and Maintenance Plan

CLIENT REQUIREMENT

Develop 250km of Railway and Infrastructure to facilitate the bulk movement of Sulphur from two new Gas Plants at Habshan and Sha, to a new Freight Terminal at Ruwais.

Stuart Maher Limited's Contribution

Commissioned by Bechtel to provide a Permanent Way (Track) and Civil Engineering Design team with capability to deliver a track and earthworks Preliminary Detail Design for the Shah Habshan Railway, Design and Build Tender Process.

Detailed works to include:

Route Optioneering to incorporate Operational, Engineering and Environmental requirements.
Develop 250km of Horizontal and Vertical Alignment incorporating operational speed profiling, and passive provision for future long term development.
Develop Preliminary layouts for strategic depot facilities to support proposed operation maintenance plan, in addition develop and review options for construction rail head’s and logistics support.
Develop the earthworks and formation design to support the proposed alignments, incorporating drainage and ‘wind blown’ sand mitigation requirements.
Co-ordination and management of inter-disciplinary technical reviews between ‘in-house’ and external third party designers and suppliers.
Production of 3D CAD models and drawings to support the overall Project Deliverable and Schedule.
